Choose from three new guest sessions on your first visit & three maintenance sessions to maintain your new look, all available to book online or in the app anytime of the day. Yes, even at 2am when you remember your reunion is coming up & need your hair done.

About Me
First off I am a lover of coffee, specifically Singing Sun's Good Fortune Iced latte, local shops, fresh flowers and a little designer fashion. My favorite place to eat in town is Paradise Pantry, their turkey pesto panini is hands down the best sandwich I have ever had. I love traveling the world and experiencing new cultures. I have a french bulldog named Willow who is my world. My husband and I love being dog parents and enjoy taking her on road trips to National Parks.
The first time I stepped into a Salon, I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. I have always had a passion for many things, but hair just brought a sense of accomplishment, challenge and joy to my life. Licensed Cosmetologist since 2004, I have the utmost respect for our industry. Its been a wonderful journey, and my career wouldn't be possible without the amazing clients I get to service on a day to day basis. Nothing brings me more happiness than to make someone feel and look beautiful. Keune Hair Cosmetics has been my luxury color product choice since 2010. I started educating for the company in 2011 and I am blessed to be able to travel the U.S. while inspiring & educating other hair stylists with the newest products, trends and techniques.
In 2018, my two business partners and I purchased AKIN Salon Collective formally known as KINshoppe Salon. My love for education and dedication to this craft has allowed me to give my clients and staff the absolute best experience in the salon. I strive everyday to learn something new and keep challenging myself to be a better hairdresser for my clients and salon owner for our stylists.
My approach to doing hair is simple. I want to give you the best look possible, while keeping in mind your lifestyle, face shape, skin and eye color and budget. I believe that your hair should compliment your life and your maintenance should reflect that as well. I am honest and direct in my consultations and truly take time to ensure you are heard and feel confident in my ability to deliver the results we agree on.

LOVE Tara Kelsey Wellman at the AKIN! She's the absolute best! You will NOT regret going to her I am a natural (dirty) blonde with VERY fine hair and she's the only person I know that could get me to a super cute and funky copper red balayage and leave my hair in amazing condition. I have been every color imaginable but I've been opting for easy low maintenance looks. Yesterday I came in with some super uneven babylights I did on myself myself during quarantine and an awful home haircut and she worked some magic y'all and I couldn't be any happier with the results. All the girls in the salon are super sweet and extremely professional and make you feel very welcomed and comfortable. The salon is such a cool vibe and very laid back but chic!
